THE SUTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

OUR SUSTAINABILITY DEVELOPMENT GOALS

We’re addressing poverty head-on in rural tribal villages by providing training and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
At Mauna Dhwani Foundation, we believe in the power of silence to create sound, and in the potential of marginalised communities to find their voice and thrive. We work with handloom weavers and natural dyeing practitioners, equipping these talented artisans with the skills and resources they need. This not only increases their income but also enhances their quality of life. By fostering economic empowerment and preserving traditional art forms, we’re helping to build a more equitable and sustainable future for these communities.

200,000 meals served nourishing bodies and nurturing dreams.
Imagine a world where no child goes to bed hungry, where every individual has access to the sustenance they need to thrive. This is the vision driving Mauna Dhwani Foundation’s Neivedya Program, a beacon of hope in the fight against hunger and malnutrition. Through our tireless efforts, we have already served an impressive 200,000 meals, nourishing bodies and nurturing dreams. But our journey doesn’t end here. With each meal served, we are one step closer to a world where zero hunger is a reality.

Our quarterly health camps provide a safe space where women gather to learn, share, and take charge of their well-being.
From understanding reproductive health to mastering the art of balanced nutrition, these camps offer a wealth of knowledge. Expert facilitators guide interactive sessions, ensuring women feel empowered to make informed decisions about their health and the health of their families. It’s not just about information; it’s about building a community of support. At our health camps, laughter mingles with learning, creating a sense of belonging and shared purpose.

Over 500 women are breaking free from traditional roles and embracing economic empowerment through the timeless art of handloom weaving and natural dyeing.
Across the villages of Mayurbhanj, a quiet revolution is taking place, and Mauna Dhwani Foundation is proud to be a catalyst for this change, providing training, resources, and a platform for these women to showcase their talents and build sustainable livelihoods. By reviving these traditional practices, we are not only preserving cultural heritage but also ensuring that women have an equal opportunity to participate in and benefit from economic growth.

We believe that handloom weaving and natural dyeing hold the key to a more sustainable textile industry.
Recognising that sustainable development goes beyond individual efforts, we’re committed to fostering an ecosystem where responsible consumption and production are the norm, not the exception. That’s why we’re actively advocating for the recognition and support of these practices at all levels of government and industry. We’re engaging with policymakers, industry associations, and government agencies to influence policies that protect artisans’ rights, provide fair wages, and create a conducive environment for their growth. We’re raising awareness about the environmental and social benefits of choosing handloom and naturally dyed products, encouraging consumers to make conscious choices that support sustainable livelihoods and a healthier planet.

Our initiatives prove that beauty and responsibility can coexist, and that even small choices can make a big difference in the fight against climate change.
From the fields where our organic cotton grows to the workshops where skilled hands transform it into vibrant textiles, we’re committed to minimising our environmental impact. Our natural dyes, extracted from plants and minerals are as gentle on the earth as they are on the eye. And our handloom weaving techniques, passed down through generations, embody a timeless respect for craftsmanship and sustainability. Mauna Dhwani Foundation is investing in a more sustainable future for us all.
